Jennifer Ali '11 is a sophomore at Fordham University's College of Business Administration, majoring in Finance, minoring in Economics, and specializing in International Business. During her freshman year, Jennifer interned at the Global Wealth Management division for Merrill Lynch. She is currently interning in the Retail Finance division at Donna Karan. This summer, Jennifer will be interning in the CFO's office at USAID's corporate headquarters in Washington, D.C. Jennifer is part of the Executive Board of the Fordham Chapter of Smart Woman Securities and is a member of the Father Boyle Society. She actively tutors in the College of Business's Tutoring Center and is a research assistant at the Graduate School of Business. Jennifer is heavily involved with a non-profit organization in her community, Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts.  She promotes cultural arts and does fundraisers all over New York. During her free time, Jennifer enjoys cooking and reading.

 

 

kSamantha Beattie '09 is a senior in the Honors Program at Fordham College, majoring in Economics and minoring in Business Administration and French. This past summer, Samantha interned at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the Finance division of the Investment Bank working in the Strategic Planning and Analysis group. In the past, she has worked for UBS in the Private Wealth Management division, as well as Forest City Enterprises, a real estate developer in Cleveland, Ohio. During Samantha's Spring 2009 semester she interned at the News Desk at CNBC. On campus, Samantha is involved with Smart Woman Securities, she is on the Executive Board of Global Outreach, a service and immersion program traveling to both domestic and international sites, and she is a member of the Fordham College Honors Program.  Originally from Cleveland, Ohio Samantha works with and advocates for the homeless in her hometown of Cleveland, as well as in New York City. Through her work in Global Outreach she helps run Midnight Runs (homeless outreach) each month in Manhattan. In July 2009, Samantha will join JPMorgan's Private Bank as an analyst.

 

 

Caroline Dahlgren '11 is a sophomore at Fordham University’s College of Business Administration, concentrating in Finance.  This past summer, Caroline interned at Merrill Lynch in its Global Wealth Management division. This summer, Caroline will be joining Bloomberg Financial in its Global Data division.  At Fordham University, Caroline is involved with the Fordham Chapter of Smart Woman Securities, Business Editor of Fordham's Official Journal of Record:The Ram, The Father William Boyle Business Honors Society, The Rose Hill Society, The United Student Government Budget Committee, and The Integrated Learning Community for Global Business.  Next spring, Caroline plans to study business abroad in Beijing, China. Caroline volunteers weekly at the College of Business Administration’s Tutoring Center, and enjoys photography in her free time.

 

 

Anu Joseph '09 is a senior at Fordham University, majoring in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship, minoring in Economics. This past winter, Anu joined Goldman Sachs as a part time tax associate in the Private Equity and Hedge Funds group. In the past, she has worked for Batyr & Co., a small accounting firm in Westchester, NY, as an Accounting and Tax intern, and as a Research Assistant at the Office of Sponsored Programs at Fordham University. On campus, Anu is involved with Smart Woman Securities, founding the Fordham University chapter in 2009 and serves on the Executive Board. She is also a founding member, and Vice President of the Entrepreneurship Society at Fordham. As a member of the Business Society at Beta Alpha Psi and a Resident Assistant, Anu is deeply committed to community service. She has been involved in activities such as park cleanups, blood drives, and walking for different causes like Breast Cancer and AIDS. From New York City originally, Anu enjoys the performing arts and traveling.

 

 

 

bAngela Luongo '11 is a sophomore at Fordham University’s College of Business Administration, pursuing a major in Applied Accounting and Finance and a minor in Legal Studies. On campus, Angela is a member of the Father Boyle Honor Society, and a founding member of the Fordham University chapter of Smart Woman Securities, serving as the Leader of Marketing. Angela is also deeply committed to community service. She volunteers weekly at the College of Business Administration’s Tutoring Center and serves as a Peer Advisor to Incoming Freshmen. In the past, she has participated in Fordham University’s community service summer program, Urban Plunge, and has walked for causes such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Breast Cancer. In the fall, Angela looks forward to participating in the Finance Scholars Program at Fordham University and The Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. In addition, Angela works twenty hours a week as an assistant to the manager of a local New York restaurant. In her free time, Angela enjoys kickboxing and is an avid Yankees fan.

 

 

aLily McGettigan '11 is a sophomore at Fordham University's College of Business Administration, working toward a major in Finance and a minor in Business Economics. She intends to pursue a career in Equity Capital Markets. Lily is a co-founder of Fordham Smart Woman Securities (SWS). As part of the SWS executive board, she manages infrastructure and fundraising. Lily is also a member of the Father Boyle Honor Society, a member of the Finance Society, a Peer Educator, and a Beta Alpha Psi pledge. She volunteers at the Regional Educational Technology Center where she mentors grammar and high school students in the local Bronx community.  In the past Lily has interned with Smith Barney in the Global Wealth Management Department. She also works at the Fordham Financial Office as an assistant. This summer, Lily will be studying Marketing and Theatre in London. In the Fall, Lily will be participating in the Fordham Finance Scholars Program. In her free time, Lily enjoys biking, film, and reading. 

 

 

aCandice Sorbera '10 is a junior at Fordham University’s College of Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Economics. This past summer and fall, Candice interned at Merrill Lynch in its Global Wealth Management division. This summer, Candice will be joining Goldman Sachs as a summer analyst in its Investment Management division. On campus, Candice is involved with co-founding the Fordham Chapter of Smart Woman Securities, and is a member of the Finance Society, the Finance Scholars Program, the Alumni Mentoring Program, Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Sigma Nu, Who’s Who Among College Students, and the Father Boyle Honors Society. Candice volunteers weekly at the College of Business Administration’s Tutoring Center, and enjoys playing basketball in her free time. 

 

 

Angela Terra '10 (chapter lead)  is a junior at Fordham University majoring in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and specializing in International Business.  Angela has completed internships in Global Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch and Operations at JP Morgan Chase.  This summer, Angela will be interning on the Corporate Foreign Exchange Sales desk within the Sales & Trading division at JP Morgan.  On campus, Angela is involved with Smart Woman Securities, the Fordham Finance Society, the Father Boyle Honors Society, and Alpha Sigma Nu.   Angela also volunteers to tutor Bronx-based middle school students through the City Squash program.
